Celiac disease (CD) was considered an inflammatory disorder of the small intestine. This inflammation is linked to the imbalance of the intestinal microbiota. This study aims to characterize/evaluate by conventional culture technique the number of the Staphylococcus genus in the intestinal microbiota of celiac children compared with control children. We collected 13 duodenal biopsy samples, 25 fecal samples from celiac children, 6 duodenal biopsy samples, and 25 fecal samples from controls. A difference was found between the Staphylococcus genus and the intestinal microbiota of celiac children compared with control children. The increase in the Staphylococcus epidermidis and Staphylococcus aureus in the duodenal flora and the fecal matter of the celiac children, also we detected a low correlation between the rise of Staphylococcus genus and the presence of positive anti-gliadin value.
